There is a homebrew competition at the Lane County Fair. Registration must be completed online by July 31st and the brews must be dropped off at Valley Vitner and Brewer or Home Fermenter Center by August 5th, or at the Fairgrounds by August 6th. Details at: http://www.atthefair.com/departments/Wine%20and%20Beer%20-%20Dept%20L.pdf
Since you must live in Lane County to enter the competition, the Carboy Junkies have a good chance at winning some of the excellent prizes!! I believe Jerry is also a strong competitor in the labels competition, since these are encouraged and judged, too.

Local Homebrew Contest
Good news: Eugene's Sasquatch Beer Festival is coming up and it has a homebrew contest. See here for contest entrance rules.
Bad news: It is the same day as our BBQ showdown.
Good news: we can still submit entries. Heck, I might win two beer contests and a BBQ contests on the same day. Sweet.

BBQ Beers
So, how many of us are submitting beers to the BBQ Showdown contest?
Next Question, how many are interested in kegging their beer?
We can keg four pretty easily, maybe five, w/o major modifications or additional equipment. I think five will cover us.
I have two. Hefeweizen and Corona Clone. Could keg both or keg one. Either way.
Scott I believe is bottling.
Ron, J&J, and Keith?

First post...
Not sure if we'll actually use this. But building a blog is an easy and cheap way to procrastinate.
